Tips for Busy Life

Managing a lot of things at once can be tough... Stressful life hits when we least expect it, and it is hard to know how to stay sane and healthy. Here are a some tips I've learned, thus far:

1. Eat mindfully. Pay attention to what you are eating and chew thoroughly.
2. Get enough sleep. At least 8 hours each night. Maybe you can sneak in a little cat nap here and there. I prefer to at least lay down and rest even if my body doesn't reach sleep mode.
3. Take vitamin C and Echinacea. Vitamin C for sure each day.. more when you are feeling sick. Echinicea is best taken when you feel sickness coming on.
4. Write stuff down. Post its, journals, scraps of paper, notebook paper, notebooks, planners and calendars all come in handy for this kind of thing.
5. Program reminders in your phone at least 10 minutes before you want to do it.
6. Get back to people as soon as you can. This is good to do so you don't end up forgetting.
7. Find time for at least a little fresh air and some exercise. Enough said.
8. Drink water.
9. Set a timer for cooking, naps, reading time, etc. This helps you compartmentalize your time.
10. Save email drafts and text message drafts in case you are not sure you want to send them right away. This puts things on the back burner, while still keeping them in mind for later. Don't totally delete them until you are sure.

Incorporate these tips in your life, and you are sure to feel a little better in the tough times, and manage stress better!
